Sofware provider WorldDesk announced that it has acquired $1.25 million in funding from a Northern Ireland firm called Lough Shore Investments and several other unnamed investors from the United States. The company, which distributes desktop visualization software, has clients in both Europe and Asia.
WorldDesk's initial product, WorldDesk for You, was launched a year ago and was recently updated to address interface design upgrades and enhancing the platform's performance.
The company's Chief Executive Officer, Stevie Morrow, said that they are delighted to announce their acquisition. ". The additional fundraising is also significant in that it will allow us to meaningfully increase our footprint, both in terms of our engineering and sales capacity, in Europe and Asia-Pacific," he added.
WorldDesk for You was released with an overhauled user interface and better response with applications such as Skype, Kindle, and Google Chrome.
"The design brief for the new UI was very simple; we wanted to bring the WorldDesk branding and its very unique look and feel to the wider platform," said Jonathan Chesney, WorldDesk's Product Manager.
