Christina Milian Lil Wayne Split: Distance and Busy Schedules Set Them Apart

By

Christina Milian and Lil Wayne have reportedly split. According to the latest gossip reports, the couple ended their over one year relationship in friendly terms.

The usually low profile pair has been reportedly amicable on their breakup and even attended the Alexander Wang's New York Fashion Week show on Saturday, Sept. 12. According to UsWeekly, Milian and Lil Wayne have called it quits for a couple of times in the past. Both were so much preoccupied with their career, she has Hulu shows, "Grandfathered" and also working with her collaboration with Wayne.

"They have broken up. Their schedules started getting extremely busy and the distance was not easy for them both," a source told to E! News.

The insider went to add that the couple is only taking a break and is on good terms. Milian is spending more time for herself and has been seen hanging out with her close girl friends like Karrueche Tran. She needs friends who understand her right now.

According to TMZ, despite Milian and Lil Wayne splitting, the two will continue to work together under the Young Money Records. The site claims that she's not calling off her contract with the label in which Wayne is the CEO. The "Dip It Low" singer has an upcoming album that will be released later this year.

Back in May, Milian gushed about her feelings for her boyfriend during the Entertainment Online interview. She then shared that her single "Rebel" is inspired by her relationship with Lil Wayne.

"It's safe to say it is about the man in my life, yes. There's nothing better than that feeling of new chemistry when you're so into someone and you could care less about what anyone else thinks... and there's butterflies! It's a real feeling that people experience."

The couple started dating in July 2014 after she broke up with her former partner, Jas Prince. Neither Milian or Lil Wayne has denied or claimed the split news.
