HTC fans will be glad to excited to know that the upcoming HTC One A9 Aero is now rumored to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its default operating system when it is officially released.
One HTC insider that has a Twitter account with the handle @LlabTooFeR is claiming that the HTC One A9 Aero will be landing in stores within October or November, and it will be bringing the much-anticipated Android M along with it.
The rumor doesn't seem so far off. Google has already called for a press event on September 29 to introduce the new Nexus line of devices that are based on the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, according to Phone Arena.
HTC has also called for a press event on the same day, where other sources are saying that the HTC One A9 Aero will be revealed to the public. This adds more weight to @LlabTooFer, who already has quite a reputation for leaking news about HTC products.
Moreover, there has been another benchmark leak regarding the HTC One A9 Aero. The device was allegedly caught in Geekbench. The device was said to have achieved a score of 5884 for the multi-core processor benchmark, 9 to 5 Google reported. Impressively, the benchmark information says that the HTC One A9 Aero has a 10-core MediaTek X20 processor. However, it also shows that the phone ran the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version. It could be that the version would be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow as soon as Google launches the new update.
The smartphone manufacturer has not yet revealed any key specs for its HTC One A9 Aero handset. International Business Times UK reported that some of Android 6.0's features might make it to the upcoming smartphone.
One of which is Android Pay, Google's own competing service against Apple Pay and a new and improved version of the currently existing Google Play. Another feature is Google Doze, which allows the device to save its battery life.
