"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kim Richards is now sentenced to probation following her arrest last April. She pleaded no contest to resisting her arrest in the said incident.
The reality show star was kicked out of Posh Beverly Hills last April and was again arrested for shoplifting in August. The Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner, Jane Godfrey sentenced the actress to 3 years of summary probation with 30 days of community labor. She also has to attend 52 weeks of Alcoholics Anonymous sessions according to People.
The announcement was made last Monday, September 14. The officials charged her with three misdemeanors namely public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a cop.
Godfrey ordered the actress to stay away from the Beverly Hills hotel while on probation. Richards didn't even attend the hearing but accepted the plea through her attorney, Sara Caplan, as reported by USA Today. Her shoplifting case last August is separate to this one, bailing her out for the amount of $5000 after spending a night in jail. There will be another hearing scheduled on December 14 for the progress of the actress on probation.
During her arrest last April, the Hotel Security requested a Private Persons Arrest and the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) officers took her to custody after finding her in the restroom. According to US Magazine, she was passively resisting the arrest. While the actress was under their custody, she kicked an officer thus adding to her misdemeanors. Following her next arrest last August, her family checked her into a treatment facility. She still pleaded not guilty to the case filed against her.
The actress is obviously struggling with her life and her alcoholic problems. Hence, the actress is still not returning for the next season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills". Alongside her family, she is now undergoing treatment while on probation.
