Gabelli Equity Trust, a non-diversified management investment company owned by GAMCO Investors, announced the expansion of its investment team. New additions include Kevin V. Dreyer and Christopher J. Marangi. The expansion is due to the recent quitting of Gabelli's Zahid Saddique.
Zahid Siddique, presently a member of Gabelli Equity Trust's associate portfolio managing team, is heading to Dubai, UAE to start his own firm.
Dreyer and Marangi will join Mario J. Gabelli, the subsidiary's portfolio manager of since 1986.
"We are delighted to have Kevin and Chris join the Equity Trust team. Kevin and Chris have an excellent foundation in Graham & Dodd fundamental research that has served a number of our funds well," said Gabelli regarding the recent appointments.
Dreyer was a research analyst in companies involved with the consumer sector while Marangi is a Global Research Coordinator for the Gabelli Value Fund. Both have a vast resume including experience in banking, market research, and management. Both also graduate with an MBA from Columbia Business School.
