CRN mentioned that Verizon has a promotion that will last until October 15 regarding trade-in program. Customers can swap their old iPhones and get a rebate to make a difference from the total price of the phone. From here, the remaining balance can be divided over 24 months to be paid in an instalment basis together with monthly plans. This promo includes up to $100 to $ 400 rebate from iPhone 4 to iPhone 6Plus in its trade-in phones. If there is no phone to trade, iPhone 6S can be paid at approximately $27 per month over two years.
Another U.S carrier, AT&T, allows trade in program for old iPhones with pay back of 12, 18, or 24 months, according to the related report. More so, Sprint also has its own trade-in program where rebate costs from $15 to $350 depending on the iPhone model.
Moreover, CRN noted that there are also e-commerce stores like Gazelle which offers trade-in program. Old iPhones can come from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon with a rebate of $30 to $ 345. These iPhones are from iPhone 4S to iPhone 6Plus. Another company who offers affordable cost of new iPhone models is NextWorth. The firm offers $25 to $400 from iPhone 4S to iPhone 6Plus under a trade-in program. The report added that customers have to ship their old iPhones to NextWorth for inspection and pricing of the rebate. The rebate amount will be received through PayPal, check, NextWorth Discover prepaid card or Target gift card after the inspection. Another online company offers the same thing through Amazon. The trade-in of iPhone costs $14.06 to $386.45 depending on models and current condition. Trade in program is also a way for Apple to recycle its phones, Apple's exclusive page noted.
On the other hand, Mac Rumors said that customers can pre-order iPhone 6S for reservation and can pick up the package in the retail store once it becomes available. According to the report, reservation is ongoing but customers can pick it up by September 25, which is the launch date of the new iPhone models.
