iPhone 6S and 6S Plus can possibly beat last year’s record of iPhones sale

Apple is positive in beating the record sale of iPhones 6 and 6 Plus to iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. This is due to the high demand of pre-orders. As such, the company announced that there is already more than 10 million unit of initial sale since this weekend. On the other hand, the smartphone firm scheduled the launch of its new iPhone models on September 25 to 12 countries.

Apple Insider said that there is a high demand of pre-order of iPhones 6S and 6S Plus since September 12. The report noted Apple's statement of having the chance to beat last year's record of 10 million unit sale from iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Knowingly that the new iPhones will be released on September 25, this leaves a great pace in hitting the mark of a new record, Apple's statement added.

In addition, Apple Insider mentioned the 12 countries where the new iPhone models will be launched which includes Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the U.K., and the U.S. This is larger than last year of having only 9 countries during the launch of iPhone 6.

On the other hand, iPhone Inventory blog tracks back-order status of the new models. It is listed that the wait time in the United States, Canada, UK, China, Japan, and Australia for 6S Plus is 3-4 weeks and 6S is up to 3 weeks.

Considering the demand and the debut locations of the new iPhones, it is important to ensure the availability of the units. CNBC reported Apple's statement regarding this and it is quoted, "We are working to catch up as quickly as we can, and we will have iPhone 6S Plus as well as iPhone 6S units available at Apple retail stores when they open next Friday."

Such demand of the new iPhone models can predicts the standpoint of the smartphone company. Nevertheless, this is something that other competitors can look up into selling its own devices.
