Apple's watchOS 2 won't be released together with iOS 9 as the bug discovered in watchOS 2 would take a bit longer to fix.The updated watchOS is improved to help users customize their watch and allow apps to load faster. Apple said last week that watchOS 2 would be available on September 16.

Apple watchOS 2 was expected to launch together with iOS 9's release on September 16. Unfortunately, Apple has discovered a bug in watchOS 2 which would take much time to fix than the company expected.

"We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected," based on the statement of Apple sent to 9to5Mac. "We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly", Apple added.

Apple neither specify when would be the release of watchOS 2 nor announce the time length of fixing the bug. According to 9to5Mac, the issue may remind users of a similar predicament with HealthKit applications at the launch of iOS 8 last year.

The Apple adds several of new features to watchOS2. Notably, it allows developers building apps to directly access its stream data and sensors between the Apple watch and iPhone. Moreover, WatchOS 2 has included wide range of Siri support and transit directions.

The watchOS 2 has expanded Wi-Fi support when out of range and added more photo watch faces. Additionally, the ability to travel through a timeline to check appointments and weather is also packed in the latest watchOS2.

According to CNET's report, apps like patient monitoring apps, Facebook, Messenger, a travel-booking app, language translator apps, fitness tracking apps, and the GoPro app are favorable with watchOS 2 usability.

Apple's delayed release of watchOS 2 must have disappointed the watch users especially those who have been waiting for the latest operating system and no launch date is yet announced at the time of this writing.
