Selena Gomez recently opened up in a cover interview on how she finally got over ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The 23-year-old actress singer also explained how she's keeping her guard up now that she's single. However, despite the rollercoaster ride of the relationship Gomez and Bieber once had, the "Come & Get it" singer admitted that she's still open to dating Bieber again.
In a report from ABC News, Selena Gomez recently opened up in an interview with Elle Magazine on how she got over the Canadian singer, and how she's ready to show her more mature side in her music. In the interview, Selena admitted that her performance of "The Heart Wants What It Wants" during the American Music Awards last year was dedicated to her ex-boyfriend, and was the beginning of her moving on point.
"Everybody was talking about the same thing: my relationship," Gomez recalled. "I was so exhausted." The singer also mentioned how she remembered saying to herself, "I want this performance to be the last time I have to talk about this' and acknowledge this feeling. I was kind of devastated. I was like, 'This is all I have right now. This is gonna be it.' And all I want is to move on."
According to Us Magazine, she had a huge weight lifted off her shoulders after her performance. Though the former Disney star admitted she and Bieber are still friends, she also mentioned how she will always love and support her ex, even if it's in a friendship type of way.
However, despite the two going through a few rough patches, when asked whether she would consider getting back together with her previous boyfriend of 3 three years, Selena couldn't help but laugh out "I don't know."
In another report from E Online, the dark brunette beauty is now ready to introduce a more mature version of herself in her music. The 23-year-old celebrity also admitting dating people but isn't ready to get into anything serious. Stating that she has her guard up after getting into a serious relationship so young, Gomez admitted she prefers meeting people in 'organic settings' like hanging out with groups of people, and meeting through mutual people.
Though the singer was recently linked back to Nick Jonas whom she previously dated way back during her Disney days, Selena confirmed they're just friends and there's nothing more to it than that.
With Selena Gomez preparing to face the world with her new mature material, the 23-year-old is as busy as she can be. After admitting she doesn't known whether she and Justin Bieber will ever get back together, fans of the former couple can finally keep their hopes up. However, for some who prefer Nick Jonas as Selena's man, it looks like there's no chance of the two romantically getting together any time soon.
