Ariana Grande makes second apology regarding the donut-licking incident, says 'nothing justifies' her 'offensive' behavior

The 22-year-old singer, Ariana Grande found herself in a terrible situation regarding the donut-licking incident two months ago. The pop star admitted that she went through a hard time but she also learned her lesson from this experience.

Back in July, a surveillance footage was released by TMZ which apparently showed Ariana licking doughnuts at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, Calif., while telling her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, "I hate Americans. I hate America." This scenario immediately developed into a headline and a great deal of backlash.

Following the adverse reaction of the people and negative headlines, Grande issued an apology right away. In an article from E Online, the singer apologized for her choice of words and said how proud she is to be an American.

Being not content with her first apology, Ariana Grande addressed the widespread disapproval in a television interview with Good Morning America as reported by ABC News.

"First of all, I mean my behavior was very offensive and I apologized. There is no excuse and there is nothing to justify it. But you know, I think that as human beings we all say and do things that we don't mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. That's part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes and that's how we grow."

When asked about the lesson she learned, Grande replied, "I think one of the biggest things I learned from that is what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you and that's an excruciating feeling and you have to remember your word, your actions have, you know, ramifications and you have to really think about what you're about to say and do because it's important."

Meanwhile, the pop star is promoting her new fragrance, ARI by Ariana Grande, with a "Be You" campaign where she intends to relay an important message to all her fans. She is also planning to release her new music in the future.

While some fans agree that the apology from the songstress is sufficient, others believe that it is still immature. Many are hoping that the troubled experience has indeed helped Ariana become more careful with her actions.
