The Huawei Watch is now available for pre-order and will start shipping out the first batch as early as September 24. Many believe that it is the best-looking Android Wear watch by far, especially for those who are fond of classic watch design. Furthermore, it's also among the first to be compatible with both iPhones and Android smartphones. Thus, bridging the gap between Android and iOS for the wearable game.
Huawei Watch comes with the following hardware specs. It sports a 1.4-inch full circle AMOLED display with a 400 x 400 resolution and a 286 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, this Android Wear runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2 GHz that's paired by 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. It is powered by a 300 mAh battery.
What's more interesting is that the Huawei Watch could also be a first in another way. Folks at Android Police have opened their Huawei Watch review unit and found components that would appear to be the device's microphone and speakers. If these are really audio components, then Huawei Watch wll be the first to have a direct audio output and would have to rely less on bluetooth speakers.
Several online retailers have already put the Huawei Watch on pre-order. Interested buyers can find the premium Android Wear smartwatch on Huawei, Best Buy and Amazon. The.entry-level model costs around $349.99, the stainless steel/the steel mesh model for $399.99, and a black stainless steel model for $449.99.
Best Buy is now accepting preorders with deliveries starting as early as Thursday, September 24. Every model, including the most expensive rose gold version, is available direct from Huawei, though the site indicates that the units wion't be shipped until October. Thus, the consumers would have to wait a few weeks more before it hits the shelves.
