Amber Rose Walk of No Shame: Hip Hop Model and Matt McGorry Shout Feminism in New Video

By

Amber Rose is sexy and garners attention with her daring outfits, eye catching looks and frank speeches. However, it's not what she's trying to portray in real life. With Rose's "Walk of No Shame" the model and feminist debuts a "Funny or Die" sketch, where she's trying to show women empowerment by challenging "slut-shaming."

Matt McGorry, the actor, who stars in "Orange is the New Black" and "How to Get Away with Murder" teamed up with Amber Rose's " Walk of No Shame" video. Like the 31-year-old rapper, McGorry strongly supports feminism. He defended the contentious video and took the explanation to Facebook. McGorry claimed the clip is not inviting women or others to be immoral, but it's made to show that no one has the right to judge a woman, Entertainment Online reports.

"If only we lived in a world where people didn't treat women with these massive double standards. For those that can't see past judging Amber or her character in this for any number of reasons, this will certainly be way above your head. This video is not encouraging women or other genders to be "promiscuous", it's encouraging a society where we don't judge women and call them "hoes" for the same reason that we'd give a guy a pat on the back and call them a "pimp."

Rose's "Walk of No Shame" starts with the hip hop model and artist walking through the park wearing her last night dress while clutching her pair of pink sandals. Everyone she meets on the street says the same thing about how she enjoyed last night and for sure she had a blast. She replies the same thing, "Oh yes it is!". The clip ends with Rose telling McGorry that she prefers casual dates and not relationship, Independent reports.

This year, Rose comes under scrutiny when her former boyfriend, Kanye West declared his "slut-shaming" comments to her at the Breakfast Club radio. Instead of attacking the music mogul, Rose replied by saying they've been happy in the past, but now they're not together, why he could "slut-shame" her.

On August 30, Rose graced the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards with Black Chyna wearing a jumpsuit with derogatory words imprinted on it. She claimed they're embracing the negativity because whether they're with their kids, or moms, or with their partners, they've been labeled as slut due to the fact that they are sexy.

After McGorry made a statement about Rose's "Walk of No Shame" clip, West's former girlfriend thanked McGorry for his support and posted to her Instagram that was the reason why she wanted him to be part of the "Walk of No Shame" sketch the following day. The satire clip was released on Monday.
