Wiz Khalifa is known for his successful career. Recently, he has not left the tabloids and has been in the headlines week after week. He's notorious in his music, and one thing, he's also infamous for his drug use, particularly marijuana.
The "See You Again" rapper, 27, has several brushes with the police in the past all due to his marijuana use. Back in June, the father-of-one pleaded guilty to possessing marijuana paraphernalia. He paid a $500 fine. In May 2014, he had a run-in with the airport law authorities after he was arrested for marijuana possession at the El Paso, Texas airport, Rolling Stone reports.
The 27-year-old rapper is open about his marijuana use right from the start. He lives in California, where it's legal to possess and use marijuana for medical purposes. In an open interview with Esquire in January, Wiz detailed his 12 tips for smoking weed.
The rapper and singer-songwriter, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz was in Aspen. Some people smoke sativa and feel more up and smoke indica and feel more down. I'm the type of the person where I smoke indica and feel way more up and smoke sativa and feel down. That's the opposite of what happens for most people. It's definitely through trial and error."
The 'Shell Shocked" hitmaker also claimed that you can find the best buds of marijuana in California. He also dished that there's no wrong in smoking a joint. It all depends on the individual what works for them, according to HighSNobiety.
Meanwhile, on August 22, Khalifa was the news when he came to Los Angeles LAX airport riding his hoverboard. Customs and Border Patrol officers handcuffed him, but was not arrested according to E! News. The hip hop rapper was given a restraining order for not following the authorities. The news site claims that he apologized for his offense and was later released and allowed to leave.
Wiz was awarded the Choice Music: R&B/Hip-Hop Song Award for "See You Again" at the Teen Choice Awards 2015 on August 16, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
