As the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be launched this October, the latest Dell XPS 12 that also sports a 4K screen will also be introduced as Dell's own version of the Surface Pro 4 which may get even better.
According to Inquisitr, the new Dell XPS 12 will include a Thunderbolt 3 connector and a sharper 8MP back snapper. It is also assumed to arrive in cheaper variants with an Intel M processor, while its more expensive versions will receive either an Intel i5 or i7 processor.
Moreover, the site added that a 4K screen could also be equipped in the Dell XPS 12 as the Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. Two versions of the forthcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are anticipated to be released one with a 12-inch screen, and another with a 14-inch screen. The Intel's upcoming Skylake processors are being expected to supply power on both Microsoft Surface Pro 4 devices.
It is stated that Dell seems to be taking a sheet from Lenovo's book and opposing with Microsoft's 2-in-1 PC on its home field. Dell's latest device allegedly touted a perfect color of the 4K touchscreen with a super-thin, XPS 13-style bezel.
Up to this point, there are no words when it comes to its pricing concern, however, due to the inclusions of both a 4K screen and Thunderbolt features it is suggested the XPS 12 won't be cheap. Nevertheless, its price will be determined by both the choice of processor (a Core M or low-voltage Core i seems likely) as well as the amount of built-in storage, reports Engadget.
As for more of its specifications, Stuff reports that the XPS 12 leaked document shows that it has a backlit keyboard with "precision touchpad", 10 hours of battery life, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, 8MP back-camera, 5MP selfie-camera, and a Dell Active Stylus.
The leak also allegedly provided a hint that XPS 12 could also be released in October, at the time when the Surface Pro reaches Dell's corporate sales channels.
