The Desire 626 was released into the market last February 2015. Gadgets 360 provided a list of specifications and features of this HTC model. This device is armored with a 5.0-inch screen display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and engineered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with 1.2 GHz speed and 1GB of RAM. Android Authority has published a review of this device last month and said that the HTC product line-up is divided into two: the One series and the Desire series which includes everything from entry-level to premium mid-range devices. The article noted that over the past two years, HTC made awesome add-ons to their Desire series and many users are hoping that this company will continue its great innovations to the smartphone industry.

In a review released by CNET, the Desire 626 got a 6.0 as an over-all rating. This was based on the smartphone's design, features, performance, camera and battery life. The design got the highest score which is 7.0 while battery life got a 5.0 rate that turned out to be the lowest rating among the criteria. They further explained that this device is more of an entry level rather than a mid-range handset.

Meanwhile, Digtal Trends reported that the Desire 626, together with other handsets in the Desire series will be available in a variety of carriers, including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, as well as a number of prepaid carriers like TracFone, Cricket, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and more.

As the Desire 626 got an over-all rating of 6.0, this is a reflection of the strong points as well as the drawbacks that this device have.
