With romantic rumors making headlines for months now, Elizabeth Olsen has finally confirmed that she and her "Avengers" co-star Tom Hiddleston are not dating. The two actors who have been working together for their new movie "I Saw The Light", sparked dating rumors a few months back due to their ongoing chemistry, and after being spotted on a dinner date together. However, in an interview the 26-year old actress put the records straight once and for all.
According to the Daily Times Gazette, Elizabeth Olsen denied all rumors she and Tom Hiddleston are dating, stating, "I mean, we definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years." When asked about being spotted on a dinner date with the older hunk last July, the actress added "And we happened to be at a restaurant at the wrong time having dinner. We all go out to dinner." The 'I Saw The Light' actress also admitted that she intentionally ignored the dating rumors thinking it was the best approach.
In a report from the Daily Mail UK, though the two celebrities admit they have wonderful chemistry together, Olsen insisted that she and Tom are just old friends and that their meal out was misconstrued. When asked directly whether she and the 34-year-old actor were dating, Elizabeth was quick to respond with, "No. I mean people can think what they want to think."
In another report from Youth Health Magazine, despite denying dating the Marvel actor, it isn't the first time the actress has been romantically linked to the studios' talents. Apparently, the blonde bombshell was previously linked to both Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans; however in another interview the sister of famous twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen laughed off the 'supposed' romances and stated that she simple doesn't react to rumors.
With Elizabeth Olsen setting the records straight, fans of the actress and her co-star Tom Hiddleston will have to settle for a scripted romance. They can watch this in "I Saw The Light", a romantic movie that will be released on November 27.
