Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark in "A Game Of Thrones" - a character who grew to become cunning and ruthless - will be fighting with zombies in her future project.

The 18 year old British actress is in talks with writer and director Kate Maberly to star in her film adaptation of Carrie Ryan's horror novel "The Forest of Hands and Teeth." Williams on the lead role will be playing the character of Mary. The New York bestseller follows a story set sometime in the future when humans have been taken over by a bloodthirsty virus that turned them into cannibals. The survival of the entire human race depends on Mary (Williams) and her success in guiding a disheveled group all the way through the dark depths of the Forest of Hands and Teeth.

"The Forest of Hands and Teeth" will be written and directed by Maberly. Maberly started as an actress in the 1993 "Secret Garden." It will be her first full-length film as she recently wrote and directed the short "Charlie's Supersonic Glider" which will premiere at the Hollywood Film Festival in September 24 at the Arclight Theatre in Hollywood.

Maberly stated that she is exceptionally thrilled to step into the 'Forest' and join forces with such a bright and artistic mind of Doug Liman. "We can't wait to bring Ryan's fantastical world to life and are absolutely thrilled to have Maisie on board." Maberly added. The 33 year old director will also produce with mentor Liman. Liman's and Dave Bartis's Hypnotic productions will co-produce along with Maberly's and Chester Semel's Hetherwood Productions.

Liman has expressed his pleasure in working with young and first-time showrunners. The producer talked about his experience in working with Maberly over the last year on "Forest." He said: "I have seen her blossom into an extraordinary storyteller."

"The Forest Of Hands And Teeth" is the first book in a post-apocalyptic trilogy. If the film becomes successful, Maberly and Williams might start a YA franchise.
