'Big Hero 6 sequel' updates: Will Tadashi merge the film with the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

By

The 'Big Hero 6 sequel' is underway now, and one persistent speculation is the return of Tadashi, Hiro's big brother who was thought as dead. With the recent Easter egg discovered in the Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tadashi's comeback could be the link tying the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Movie News Guide, the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' may not only feature Tadashi's return, but his return as Sunfire. Sunfire is originally a part of the Marvel comics where the award winning animation feature was based on. While there are still no confirmations, fans look forward to seeing the flying-plasma-blasting superhero in Tadashi's form.

As speculation goes, the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' may be named 'Big Hero 7' fueling the rumors of Tadashi's return even further. According to Vine Report, the recent discovery of Tadashi's name as one of the programs Tony Stark developed to replace of JARVIS who became The Vision now. As proven through the years, there are no coincidences in the details of Marvel movies.

Following this, the father of all things Marvel, Stan Lee, has made a cameo in 'Big Hero 6' as Fred's Father, which he only ever did for Marvel movies. Stan Lee also recently talked about the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' as part of the Marvel film slate, mentioning it in the same breath 'Ant-Man', 'Doctor Strange', 'Black Panther', 'Inhumans', 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2', 'Avengers' and 'Captain America'. Whether all these point to the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' playing a part in Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future is yet to be confirmed.

According to Bit Bag, Tadashi may also be a villain in the 'Big Hero 6 sequel'. With loss central to the 'Big Hero 6' story, it will remain part of the sequel. Co-director and co-writer Don Hall said that as long as they "honor the emotional story" then 'Big Hero 6' and its sequel possibly can "stand on its own as a movie." As he was the loss that Hiro had to come to terms with, will Tadashi now cause losses for Hiro in the 'Big Hero 6 sequel' as a villain?

The 'Big Hero 6 sequel' has no announced release date but it is estimated that it may be around July 2017 to 2019. As a Marvel story, many anticipate a sequel that won't disappoint, and hopefully, one that connects to the MCU. If audiences are lucky, Tadashi will really be alive and will make the story more exciting whether he's an ally or a foe.
