The "Gossip Girl" star, Leighton Meester and her husband, actor Adam Brody finally confirmed that they are now parents on their first newborn. The new parents happily welcomed their first child together.
According to E! News, the couple named their baby daughter, Arlo Day Brody. The 29-year-old new mother, Leighton Meester gave birth to a daughter on the 4th of August, 12:12 a.m. on Whittier Hospital in California however, the new parent kept the good to themselves.
Leighton and Brody revealed that their gender of their child on September 24, the US Magazine reported. A birth certificate was revealed in public, showing their daughter's name, Arlo Day. The document also shows the 29-year-old Leighton Meester and 35-year-old Adam Brody kept the birth of their first girl in secret. The singer-actress with her baby bump was last spotted in public last July at the Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles.
The secretive couple really does love to surprise the public with good news. They were known for being private including their secret wedding. Last year 2014, the exclusive couple exchange their "I dos'" in private and it's not a surprise this time around when they added a new member on their new family.
However, while not confirming the arrival of their daughter, the singer-actress hinted everyone about having a little one. During her interview with Nylon magazine, she told, "Most people I know are starting to get married. It'll be kids next, I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs.", People reported.
Leighton Meester and Adam Brody met while filming "The Oranges" in 2011. The couple also became co-stars on the film Life Partners in 2014. Since they started dating, the couple, became more silent about their relationship and eventually got engaged on November. Now that they have welcomed their first child, the new mom and dad are surely the happiest celebrity family of the year.
