By

Most Galaxy S4 units just received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update and many are expecting from Samsung that it would do a step forward to the 5.1 version. However, new reports claim the South Korean tech giant might be pushing the Lollipop's final software update to keep up with other brands in the market.

Tech experts and Android fanatics believe that it is not too impossible for the Galaxy S4 to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update as some of Samsung's older and mid-range devices have receive it already, some even jumping from KitKat to 5.1.1 Lollipop. Major mobile carriers in the US Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular and AT&T have just released the Android 5.0 Lollipop software to its Galaxy S4 units, while T-Mobile's version lags behind with Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

According to recent news, Galaxy S4 might also be skipping the 5.0.1, 5.0.2, and 5.1 version and head straight to 5.1.1. Carriers might also be releasing the update amid the Marshmallow fuss slated on September 29 or October 5, as per analysts' evaluation.
