Following the complete reveal of the upcoming WWE 2K16 roster to appear in the game, 2K Sports has released a brand new trailer showcasing the much improvement My Career Mode. Meanwhile, ex-ECW announcer Joey Styles has confirmed his appearance in the latest iteration of the series.
The much improved My Career Mode for WWE 2K16, according to IB Times, continues to highlight on players creating a superstar, however, it will add a long time compared to WWE 2K15 as gamers aim to reach the WWE Hall of Fame.
In WWE 2K15, players can either play hero or villain but such choices were bounded apparently. According to Hardcore Gamer, the option becomes a big part of My Career Mode enabling the players' customized superstar to form tag teams with the rest, remain in NXT, and respond to interviews from WWE reporter Renee Young.
Based on the trailer, gamers can select to act with aggression or tact during the Q & A with Young where every response will have an effect on the career of the superstar created. Since each one in the roster will be watching, gamers could either make new rivalries or new allies based on the answers.
Tech Times also reports that The Authority will be playing a huge role in WWE 2K16. After a while "graduating" from NXT, the player will be offered to join The Authority and choose whether the superstar rejects or accepts it. The decision will determine the created character's allies and enemies that makes the game even mor exciting than the predecessor title.
Meanwhile, ex-ECW announcer and WWE's current staff Joey Styles has confirmed that he will make an appearance in the video game. Wrestle Zone revealed that Styles did voiceover work and he is calling Steve Austin vs. Mikey Whipwreck ECW Championship Match. The original match which can be played back in Showcase Mode happened at ECW November To Remember 1995 event.
WWE 2K16 is set to release on October 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It is noted, however, that My Career Mode will be released on current gen consoles and will not be available for PS3 and Xbox 360, although, the last gen consoles will still gain access to Showcase Mode.
