Xiaomi has recently released its newest handset, the Mi4c, in China. However, the company's newest product won't reportedly get the chance to be launched in other markets. The latest device's most significant specifications were also established.
According to The Quint, the 'C' in the Mi4C stands for China, just like the 'I' in the Mi4i stood for India. This implies that the latest mid-range device released by the company won't be available in any other locations.
Meanwhile, the Mi4c runs through a Snapdragon 808 6-core 64-bit processor and comes with Xiaomi's 5-inch full HD sunlight display. This is a similar display with the Xiaomi Mi4i and Mi4 in India, however, Mi4calso differs from its predecessors as it is the company's first phone to feature USB Type-C.
Xiaomi Mi4c has been loaded with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that has phase detection autofocus. Its front-facing camera on the other hand, is armed with 5-megapixel that is best for selfies. This handset is powered by a 3,080 mAh capacity battery.
The iDigitalTimes further discussed that Xiaomi Mi4c comes in two models one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, while the other one has a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi also added several new software features to Mi4c. One of which is the edge tap which allows users to tap the side of the handset that will enable the user to snap a photo or to go back to a previous page. On the other hand, the double tap allows users to wake the screen. The smartphone also includes an Infrared blaster, which let the handlers use their handset as a television remote control.
When it comes to the Mi4c, Xiaomi has also introduced a new type of packaging. Boxes for the device are now in Xiaomi's signature orange instead of the tan color of older wrapping. As for its outer appearance, Xiaomi's new product is available on white, black, blue, pink and yellow color.
After its successful release last September 24, Softpedia reported that Xiaomi Mi4c will already be available for purchase starting on October 3.
With the device's release nearly approaching, many are now curious if Mi4c's features would outdo its predecessors. The company is also hoping that its upcoming launch will be as successful as its previous flagships'.
