'Batman Beyond' movie adaptation could possibly progress; Robbie Amell wants to be Terry McGinnis

Although Batman will be having a live-action appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", rumors are spreading The Dark Knight might be having a standalone film. As a result, Robbie Amell says he dreams to take the lead role in "Batman Beyond" in case it happens.

Robbie Amell (The Flash) has admitted that he would love to be Terry McGinnis in a live-action film adaptation of Batman Beyond. The Heroic Hollywood noted that the only problem with the idea is the longevity of the production or the decision to announce an adaptation.

"I think the problem is because they have Batman going on right now, they won't make the Batman Beyond movie until I'm too old to be Terry McGinnis," he said. "By then I'll probably be the old, crusty Batman. But I'm a huge fan of that idea. I think it would be a great property."

According to an article on the Comic Book, this won't be the first time that the idea of creating "Batman Beyond" movie has brought out. But, producer Michael Uslan talked about seeing Clint Eastwood as an old Bruce Wayne a few years ago. Way back year 2000, director Boaz Yakin has been offered with the project but it never happened.

In 2023, Terry McGinnis was born to scientists Warren and Mary. When he was a teenager, Movie Pilot indicated that he had experienced so much trouble where he encountered the followers of Joker. While he was being chased by The Jokerz, they will find themselves in the property of the aged Bruce Wayne who instantly ousted the gang leaving McGinnis behind. Wayne will soon take him as his protégé, training him to be the next Batman.

With all the upcoming movies, "Batman Beyond" might take long years before it will finally be out. And with what Amell has said, he may already be old to be Terry McGinnis if that happens. However, he suggested that the movie does not need to spend hundreds of millions for the budget. It would be smart if they use $30 million with "a dark, gritty version of Batman Beyond" as he stated.

"The Flash" series actor will unlikely have a problem with being Ronnie Raymond and Terry McGinnis at the same time if possible. Do you think he is suited to be the next Batman?
