The Last of Us 2 has remained an idea for so many players who managed to get their hands on the previous title and with that, the anticipation has gone insanely high. Confirming it, however, remains a mystery until it is changed otherwise.
According to IGN, the success of The Last of Us was so surreal that players have wanted more since then and gone berserk over the idea. However, Naughty Dog has kept mum through the months and fans have just been rendered disappointed every step of the way. That is until a recent slip of information was disclosed by some of the people behind the development.
Delivered by Video Gamer, The Last of Us 2 is very far away from being released. Naughty Dog themselves have confirmed that The Last of Us 2 is not even in development yet. However, a probable unintentional spill by Nolan North, a talented voice actor responsible for the vocal coverage of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series said that Naughty Dog has been working on a continuation for one of their series. The title was not named but was rapidly assumed to have been The Last of Us 2.
Movie News Guide reported that The Last of Us 2 is not much of a priority to the company as Uncharted 4 was, but has indeed been brainstormed upon and discussed through. The reality remains, however, that The Last of Us 2 has neither a release date or details to present to the public.
Sad to say, fans of The Last Of Us franchise can only hope that The Last of Us 2 will be looked into, and the possibility of the title surfacing has not gone into extinction. As of the moment, Naughty Dog has put great efforts in further improving the fellow chart-topping game, Uncharted 4 which is currently doing very well at its own right.
