The new OnePlus phone dubbed as OnePlus Mini will arrive before Christmas, as confirmed by the company's co-founder Carl Pei. The new device will boast an awesome design while being offered at an even cheaper price.

Carl Pei has stated that the new OnePlus Mini would be made to cater a different kind of audience, possibly, for those users who show more appreciation on the handset's design over specs. The device has begun to leak and revealed its potential features and specifications, Pocket-lint reports.

The leak suggests that the new OnePlus Mini could be anticipated of coming with a 1080p display of unidentified size. It is also claimed to be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM plus 32GB of memory. Despite of the newly announced OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the device is still expected of running on the Android 5.1.1.

TGC reports that the company appears to focus on the design of the OnePlus Mini this time, as renders of a shiny, thin, blocky, minimalist and modern device have been reported released. The screen virtually blends into the handset's body, along with an almost invisible bezel.

There are also slits spotted on the top and bottom of the OnePlus Mini which may also hide LED notification lights. Peculiarly, it seems that it doesn't have a front camera. The One plus Mini sides and edges are just faintly curved and chamfered, which made it to have a pretty premium appearance.

The site has also noted that the back of this OnePlus Mini handset, said to show a dual camera setup, which deceptively brings some curiosity for being a mid-range device. The handset will reportedly sport a depth-sensor next to a 12MP camera as well as a fingerprint sensor.

According to Technobuffalo, the latest OnePlus Mini is set to be launched globally. However, the company is obviously eyeing India to be the key market for the inexpensive handset. Last year, One Plus was reported ran into matters in the fast emerging country due to the conflicting privileges about the Cyanogen OS in the county. Since then, the Chinese upstart has moved to utilizing its particular in-house Oxygen OS software.

As a growing market, the new handset OnePlus Mini is anticipated by having a more affordable cost than its former models. This latest mid-range smartphone is stated to be rated between $180 and $300.
