Everyone expects Google to unveil something very big and exciting every time fall season arrives. Based on their official blog, the launch event introduced two Nexus smartphones, a tablet for work and play, as well as updates to Chromecast and the latest features for some apps.
As per the launch event, the latest Nexus smartphones will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Nexus 5X and 6P aren't just sweetened by its latest operating system but also packed with cutting-edge hardware.
The Nexus 5X and 6P smartphones include a new fingerprint sensor and Nexus Imprint which give users quick and secure access to their devices. Moreover, both will be sporting the same 12.3 MP camera and Type-C port.
The Nexus 5X is collaborated with LG and will come in a 5.2-inch display packed with a compact and light package. The 5X is priced at $379. While the Nexus 6P is collaborated with Huawei, it is the first all-metal-body Nexus phone. The 6P is a 5.7-inch smartphone crafted from aeronautical-grade aluminum. Its camera features massive 1.55µm pixels and is priced at $499.
Google Pixel C was also introduced at the event, a multi-purpose tablet good for work and play. Google boasts Pixel C's keyboard, which attaches magnetically to the tablet with no docking mechanism. Additionally, the Pixel C sports USB type-C port and will be available during the holiday season.
Chromecast also added new devices to its. Chromecast Audio, as described by Google, is a small device that plugs into user's speakers and streams your favorite music, radio and podcasts over Wi-Fi, similar to Chromecast. Based on the advertisement video of Chromecast, it shows how Chromecast Audio can be productive to users playing games, watching movies, etc.
All Chromecast devices are now available at the Play Store and other retail stores. The Chromecast Audio is priced at $35, as per Google Play Store. Moreover, the Nexus 5X and 6P are available for pre-order from the Play Store in selected countries.
Furthermore, the one-touch payment app on Android devices called Android Pay was also announced with the location widened for its services. Best of all, there's no setup involved and users can use any device, Google stated on its blog.
