Amber Rose recently took to the streets to promote her "SlutWak" campaign. During the event, the curvy model took the opportunity to make peace with one of her ex-boyfriend Kanye West. In an emotional and teary speech, the 31-year-old model revealed she has forgiven her ex for the harsh and embarrassing statements he previously made and insisted all she wanted is to move on with her life.
In a report from Just Jared, the event was held last Saturday, October 3rd 2015, when model Amber Rose took to the streets of downtown Los Angeles for her 'SlutWalk' event. During the campaign which was supported by numerous women, Amber made an emotional speech which included forgiving one of her exes, Kanye West.
Kanye West and Amber dated each other a few years back. However, after their break up and Kanye got in a relationship with now wife Kim Kardashian, the famous rapper made a few hurtful and embarrassing comments that publicly humiliated the mother of one.
US Magazine reported that it was earlier this year when Kanye told a radio station how he had to take '30 showers' after breaking up with Amber. He then added how he would never have dated the hip-hop model stating, "If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn't be an Amber Rose."
After the nasty statements the rapper made, and after the years of taunting comments the two celebrities have thrown at each other, Amber stated in a teary speech, "I want to forgive Kanye for what he said about me. I want to let all the negativity go. People are ignorant and you have to be the bigger person and be the positive person to forgive, and move on and help other people around you that have been through the same thing,"
According to Hollywood Life, Amber's mom was even at the event supporting her daughter by carrying a sign saying, "F-k Yo 30 Showers!" Despite the sign being aimed at Kanye, during her speech it was obvious that the 'SlutWalk' host wanted to move on and find peace.
Although Kanye West has yet to comment on Amber Rose's public forgiveness speech, the 31-year-old is hoping that the feud between her and her ex can finally come to an end. After previously admitting that she has ended her 'beef' with Kim Kardashian, Amber only had words of praise for her ex's wife, and how far she has come along in the industry.
