'Mail Online' has been sued by Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher after photos of their baby daughter were published without consent. The famous couple are also claiming compensation for money that was made after the 'Mail Online' picked out items of their clothing and featured them in a special profitable feature, also without their consent.
According to the International Business Times, the famous celebrity couple are furious at the 'Mail Online' and are doing everything in their power to sue the company after photos of their daughter Wyatt were published without their permission.
In the complaint filed by the couple, Kunis and Kutcher stated that two articles published by the company breached their privacy. The first and most serious case the two new parents were most furious about was over an article published on January 27th which features photos of the couple with their then four-month-old daughter in a parking lot.
Apparently close-up images of baby Wyatt were published leaving the sexy mom furious after finding out. Court documents stated, "Save for one image of Wyatt as a new-born, Kutcher and Kunis have not released to the world at large any images of her, nor have they consented to the publication of an image of her." The complaint then continues with "Family outings are not public events but are obviously private and it is reasonable to expect that they will not be photographed and published to the whole world."
Youth Health Magazine reported that the second case filed against the 'Mail Online' was from a second article dated May 18th of this year. Apparently photos of Mila Kunis' sweater were featured on their 'Femail Fashion Finder' page, providing links to where readers can purchase the same product online.
The actress claimed that the company had breached the Data Protection Act, and therefore she and her husband will be suing them for damages and compensation for the money made due to their 'Femail Fashion Finder' page, which also included trainers of the celebrities.
Digital Spy also reported on the situation stating that 'Mail Online' has responded to the complaint saying, "Mail Online will be vigorously defending the claim and have no further comment to make."
Apparently, Ashton took to Twitter after finding out about the published photos of his daughter and angrily tweeted, "Why is it so hard for publications to respect that I would like the identity of my child kept private for safety reasons? Pls honor that."
It is not yet known what other actions have been taken against 'Mail Online'; however, one thing for sure is, the much loved and admired couple will do everything they can to win the case especially when it comes to their now one-year-old daughter. 'Mail Online' has yet to make any further comments, but with the ongoing lawsuit it's likely more updates will be released soon.
