The American singer Taylor Swift and Scottish DJ Calvin Harris are not yet ready to tie the knot. The "Wildest Dreams" singer apparently does not want her boyfriend to feel the pressure to get married with her.
According to ET Online, reports have been claiming that the Scottish DJ has been spotted looking for an engagement ring in Beverly Hills. He will allegedly tie the knot with the award- winning songwriter/ singer in a two million dollar English ceremony and that they already paid 25 million dollars for the Samuel Goldwyn estate.
However, the 25-year old "Bad Blood" singer finally slammed the rumors through her Twitter page. Swift tweeted, claiming that she's still busy doing her shows, "What the press says I'm doing: Buying a Bev Hills mansion, getting married in an English castle. What I'm doing: Playing a show in St. Louis."
"Things are still good but [Taylor and Calvin] are not going as fast as everyone thinks," a source close to the couple revealed to Hollywood Life. The insider also added, "Those wedding rumors freaked them both out. That is definitely not where they are at. It's a nice fantasy but the last thing Taylor wants is for Calvin to think she's desperate for him to put a ring on it. That's just awkward."
However, this wasn't the only time that the "Shake It Off" singer deflated the rumors of her upcoming marriage with Harris. When reports circulated that she was looking to buy a 16th century castle that's also known as the Tower of Lethendy in Scotland, which is the birthplace of her boyfriend Calvin Harris, she directly slammed the speculation. The singer posted a line from her new single to end the false reports. "Cause baby I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me - a line from New Romantics But I'm not actually buying a castle," she tweeted.
During an interview with Glamour UK magazine via International Business Times, the 25-year songstress also claimed that she feels embarrassed when her past relationships become the laughing stuff in reports. She stated, "There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I'm really busy, so I can't. And it's a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need."
"It's kind of a sad way I got there, though, being shamed into it. What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think its fair," she continued.
And although the two are very vocal about their love for each other, Swift and Harris remained mum about the issue about their alleged engagement and upcoming wedding. But one thing's for sure, Harris already revealed that he feels as though he has found his perfect match in the pop singer. And the two are seemingly very in love, but in no rush to tie the knot just yet.
