As the current flagship of Samsung has hit the market, many are now wondering what will be the features that the company's next S series might sport. Some speculations claim that the upcoming S7 will allegedly use either a Qualcomm or an Exynos chipset.
IBTimes recently said on its report that the newest flagship smartphone by Samsung is expected to be launched early next year and will be available as the descendant of Galaxy S6. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is believed to come with Qualcomm and Exynos chipset options to take on the competition. The US and China version of the Galaxy S7 is rumored to be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, while the other markets will have the Exynos chipset-powered flagship.
Since the Galaxy S7 is supposed to have two variants, Christian Today further added that one of the forthcoming devices may come with a flat display, while the other may have a dual-edge curved touchscreen.
The upcoming flagship that is soon to be unveiled by Samsung Electronics is also rumored to sport a QHD display with 2560 x 1440p resolution. It is believed to have a bigger 4-GB RAM with 64 GB of built-in memory, armed with 16 megapixel rear-facing camera that features Optical Image Stabilization, and a 5 megapixel front snapper that is best for selfies and video chats. The handset is also expected to arrive running with the recently released Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Moreover, Tech Times said on its article that the rumored release date of the Galaxy S7 will be February of next year, which is a couple of months earlier compared to the traditional release month of April for Samsung's Galaxy S devices. The earlier release date could be predicted as the company's effort to have a better competition against its rival Apple.
Since none of these speculations were confirmed yet by the Korean tech giant, the avid fans of the Galaxy S series still has to wait patiently as the specifics of the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be revealed little by little.
