According to reports, Keira Knightley was forced to pull out of her Wednesday night Broadway show in the Big Apple due to 'minor injury.' Though it's not known what type of 'minor injury' the actress suffered from, it's been confirmed that the British star was back in action the following day, just a week after a crazed fan harassed the actress on stage.
In a report from People, 30-year-old Keira Knightly suffered a 'minor injury', causing her to pull out of her Broadway performance at the New York's Studio 54 theater on Wednesday. The British beauty, who is part of the theater play 'Therese Raquin', was unable to fulfil her part in the Emile Zola novel causing the show to be cancelled completely for the night.
Although it was the first time the Broadway show had been unexpectedly interrupted since its premiere, a report from BBC News stated how a young man interrupted Keira's performance on stage the week before. According to the report, a crazed fan started shouting and throwing flowers at the actress while she was performing. Although the new mom stayed in character, the man became even more worked up before being escorted out by security.
Eyewitnesses at the theater said the man was shouting various things at Keira, one being "we're going to heaven together." It was later found out that the man was in love with the star and demanded she married him while the actress was acting on stage. He later on shouted "Five seconds is too long to wait for a response!"
In another report from the Daily Mail UK, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star was spotted twice last Wednesday before she had her reported injury. Although the show was cancelled due to the unexpected incident, the production was ready to roll the following day with Keira back on stage.
At the moment it's not yet known what 'injury' the celebrity suffered from. However, as the star is back on track with her role for the theater performance, fans can only guess that it was nothing serious. For now, Keira Knightley will continuing performing in the popular novel-based play which will officially open at the end of October.
