Remedy Explains Why Quantum Break Release Pushed to 2016; Will It Be Worth the Wait?

By

Formally made public in 2013, the Quantum Break's release date was a subject of postponement until an announcement came out that it will finally be released on April 2016. Game creator Remedy Entertainment gave eager gamers a well-founded explanation.

According to creative director Sam 'Max Payne face' Lake in an interview posted in GamesRadar, Remedy needed the extra time to perfect the game for potential involvement.

Lake even added that since Quantum Break is now available for a new platform which is Xbox One, "it is a new universe, new story, and new gameplay."

"That means a lot of prototyping, and a lot of discovery. On the whole show side, there are a lot of challenges to figure out. It does end up taking time and, yes, we want to keep the quality high, so we don't want to make certain kinds of compromises, and are always making sure that this is iterated enough and polished enough and it's as good as it deserves to be," he said in the same interview.

But is it worth the wait?

Crossmap wrote that the game is a combination of cinematic action game and live action show. Lake encouraged the players not to skip the cinematic story. He said that whoever missed the cinematic story will miss the whole full experience.

The site also spoke how Lake described the cinematics' point of view which is from the antagonist, Paul Serene. "Watching the show, you will see certain things that will feed back to the next act of the game and give you an advantage."

TechnoBuffalo is confident Remedy is not lying because Remedy's products have been unanimously well received by the many game devotees.

Quantum Break will be officially available on April 5, 2016 for Xbox One and many are hoping its PC version will also come out soon.
