Supermassive Games has released major patch 1.03 for Until Dawn weighing around 10GB and adding hefty of stability and bug fixes including tweaks on trophies as well as option for inverted Y Axis.
Gear Nuke notes that Until Dawn hasn't received a day 1 patch during the game's launching in August for PS4 in contrast to other AAA titles from the game developer but it doesn't follow the the horror adventure game still contained a number of issues and bugs.
The first patch release arrived after sometime post launching and it was only a minor update which weighed about 46 MB in size to address several bugs found by gamers following the game's public outing. On the other hand, the brand new 10 GB sized Update 1.03 which is now available for download on the PS4 consoles brings almost all tweaks and bug fixes for the game.
As noted via Reddit, Until Dawn's new patch updates the title to 1.03 version. The patch notes don't reveal the complete details of the changes to be made but indicate the number of major bug fixes added in the game which could be the reason why it comes in big 10 GB size. The list of the notable changes are the following:
- Fixes to prevent progression blocker in Ep9
- Option for inverted Y Axis
- Fixed Trophies
- Stability and bug fixes
The well-received survival horror adventure title was initially developed for PS3 and subsequently, for the current gen PS4 consoles. Supermassive Games has used a modified version of Guerrilla Games' Killzone Shadow Fall engine in the creation of the game.
One of the exciting features included in the game is multiplayer mode feature where friends can experience the jump scares altogether at the same time. In an earlier presscon, Supermassive Games revealed that Until Dawn's multiplayer mode could use the single DualShock 4 controller among groups.
Touted as one of the top 11 IPS of 2015, Until Dawn is a PS4 exclusive horror adventure survival title released in North America on August 25th and Europe on August 28th.
