FX confirmed last Oct. 8, 2015 that 'Tyrant' is officially renewed for its 3rd season. The network has ordered 10 episodes for its 3rd installment. Moreover, the co-president of FX also shared the reasons why they renewed the show. On the side note, the 2nd season has garnered a number of 2.47 million viewers.
FX confirmed last Thursday, Oct. 8, that Tyrant is set to continue for season 3. As reported on Deadline, FX has ordered 10 episodes for the political thriller drama TV series and the show will air anytime soon in 2016. It has also been reported that Adam Rayner, Jennifer Finnigan, and Ahsraf Barhom are officially included in the cast.
Meanwhile Eric Schrier, FX Co-President of Original Programming shared a good feedback about the show's renewal saying, "We look forward to the next chapter and sensational third season." As noted by Variety, the second installment of 'Tyrant' includes 12 episodes, although, 13 episodes were originally ordered by FX.
On a different note, Entertainment Weekly mentioned that the 2nd season of 'Tyrant' has garnered 2.47 million viewers when factoring in Live +7. Eric also shared his thoughts about 'Tyrant' Season 2 where he said, "Tyrant's 2nd season took the show to a new level thanks to the skill and direction of Howard, Chris and Glenn and their creative team, the exceptional cast and a story steeped in family, loyalty, and intrigue."
'Tyrant's' home network has finally confirmed that they officially renewed the 3rd installment for the show. The president of the network shared some good statement regarding the show's success and progress. In addition to that, 'Tyrant' Season 2 has garnered a million viewers which led to the show to continue for season 3.
'Tyrant' Season 3 is expected to premiere anytime soon in 2016 exclusively on FX. It is an American drama series written and directed by Gideon Raff and developed by Howard Gordon and Craig Wright.
