Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Update for HTC One E9+ Devices

HTC One E9+ units are reported hitting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software after a confirmation of the upgrade will roll out to flagship devices One M9 and One M8. Reports stated that the Marshmallow software might come by January 2016.

HTC has laid out its plans already for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and in spite of it not confirming One E9+ as part of its upgrade, reports have surfaced that the Taiwanese tech brand is releasing Marshmallow soon to this device as well. HTC has not spoken about the exact release date yet but January is slated as per reports.

Pocket Lint has stated in a report that One E9+ devices will kick off receiving the Marshmallow with its new features and improvements a little while after it rolls out to One M9 and One M8 in December this year. The flagship devices' upgrade was already confirmed by HTC in September.

In August, HTC Senior Vice President for Product Management Mo Versi first took Twitter to reveal its plans for the biggest and most exciting Android update in history.

Meanwhile, even without HTC confirming all these reports, One E9+ exceeds Marshmallow qualifications for specs. This smartphone device sports 3 GB of RAM and 2 GHz processor chip, sufficient to meet Android 6.0 requirements.

Despite the fact that the sales performance of the Taiwanese giant has been struggling, HTC is well-known for giving clear information and outline on its Android update plans.

The company operates on a 90-day rotation for software upgrades. It also releases updates after two years from a device's discharge depending on mobile networks and/or location.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow software also is expected to roll out to other HTC devices like One M9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, One M8 Eye, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816. The tech giant teased last week that it is launching the One A9 smartphone on October 20 with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in new key features like Doze and improvements in Google Now, Apps Permissions, app drawer and so many more.
