Bill Cosby Appears to be Losing Sexual Assault Cases Filed Against Him; About 50 Women Admitted They Were Allegedly Victimized

By

It has been a year since allegations of sexual assault were thrown at Bill Cosby. Since then, plenty of women have come forward with their stories of assault, and it looks like the case is not looking good for Cosby.

According to LA Times, Renita Hill who appeared on a children's TV show as a teen with Bill Cosby in the 1980s is suing him for citing denials of allegations that the comedian sexually abused her repeatedly. Her lawsuit which was filed last Wednesday was the third one in the recent months to be filed against Cosby for defamation over his team's continuous denial on the sexual assault allegations against him.

Renita Hill is one of among 50 other women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault or abuse over decades. Hill's lawsuit claims she was drugged with something in her drink several times and was sexually assaulted in hotels located in different states. These allegations can be patterned with the allegations of all the other women filing a case against him.

The 78-year-old comedian is up for a very big fight of his life as the case is just growing more against him. Seattle Times reports that things just got worse for the comedian as 27 of these women who claimed they were sexually assaulted by Cosby all gathered together on "Dateline NBC". Colleges and universities are continuing to withdraw honorary degrees that were bestowed upon him when he was considered as one of the country's most admired entertainers.

Things could become a lot worse for Cosby in the coming months as prosecutors in Pennsylvania and California are yet to bring criminal charges. According to Press Herald, Cosby's attorneys claim they still have additional opportunities to try to get those lawsuits dismissed. However, Joseph Cammarata, who represents the three women in the federal defamation suit filed in Massachusetts claims that the cases are catching up to Cosby, as he is now flooded with women who were allegedly assaulted by him.

A trial hasn't started yet, as the statute of limitations for some of the cases have already expired. Nonetheless, the prosecutors are still fighting for it because some cases can still be opened and it appears that the results will not be good for Cosby.
