Filming for the sci-fi romantic drama, Passengers, is finally underway, with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt on board as the lead actors. They were also recently photographed sporting new looks for their characters.

As reported by Movie News Guide, Lawrence was photographed in the set of the film in Atlanta where the actress was seen having beach blond hair which she tied in a mini bun. Also, Pratt was seen having a long beard, although, it was eventually confirmed to be a prop he had to wear for some of the scenes.

Moreover, the film will also star Laurence Fishburne as Colonel Alexander, Robert Larriviere as the TV Host, and Michale Sheen in a currently unknown character. According to Screen Rant, both Lawrence and Pratt have increased their salaries. Pratt is slated to receive $12 million from the previous $10 million pay while Lawrence is set to take home $20 million.

After a long time coming, Passengers is finally in the works and will be released under Sony Pictures. According to Fashion N Style, the movie was previously under Weinstein Co., and Keanu Reeves, Reese Witherspoon, and Rachel McAdams were some of the names previously tied to the film.

However, despite the star-studded cast, rumors suggest that Passengers is now rumored to be facing troubles in the set as a source revealed that the budget for the pricey space suits for the cast has now become an issue. The source also cited creative differences and disagreements between producers. The film's similarities to 'Titanic' is also reported to be causing concerns that it could make the film feel like more of a parody than a futuristic sci-fi love story.

Passengers will center on a spacecraft travelling to a distant planet carrying thousands of people. But during the flight, a malfunction ensues in one of the sleeping chambers waking Pratt's Jim Preston with 60 years more before they reach their destination. He later wakes another passenger, Lawrence's Aurora, to accompany him.

Passengers is directed by Morten Tyldum and written by Jon Spaihts. It is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2016.
