Xiaomi Mi Note 2 To Be An All-Metal Phablet Running On Android 6.0 Marshmallow; Device Set For 2016 Release?

Xiaomi will launch another flagship smartphone next year, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, which is believed to have a full-metal body. This handset is also expected to arrive running on the newest Android version made by Google, the Marshmallow 6.0.

According to iDigitalTimes, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might be made completely of metal. It will be engineered with the Qualcomm's upcoming chipset, the Snapdragon 820. The Mi Note 2 is also speculated to have a 4GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3,500 mAh capacity battery.

In addition, IBTimes said on its article that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come with a huge 5.7-inch display. This handset may be packed with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels screen resolution. This display combination translates to a pixel density of 515 ppi.

Though there are already rumors that the phone may sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, there are other speculations claiming that it will be powered by a MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 chip instead. With these assumptions, many believe that it is not impossible for Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come in two variants. The first one will run on MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 and the second one will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, both working hand-in-hand with a deca-core CPU that is set to be unveiled on 2016.

TechnoBuffalo further added that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This handset might also have the potential to sport a high-tech ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

If it is to be believed that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be having a full metal body, this device will be the first in the Xiaomi's smartphone line-up to be in an all-metal chassis. These exciting specifications and features the handset might carry is expected to get the attention of many smartphone enthusiasts.
