Inhumans is still currently among Marvel's slate of films in phase 3 and plans to unite superhumans to form a community to defend themselves. While the film is currently a couple of years away, Vin Diesel has opened the topic and revealed his demands to join the film.
Although rumor are rampant about the film getting delayed towards phase 3, the film is currently believed to be in development under Marvel. Moreover, while details are scarce at present, Vin Diesel has been heavily linked to the film to play the as the most powerful among Inhumans, Black Bolt.
Diesel has been candid about having talks with Marvel which also in fact resulted to his casting as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy. However, when he addressed the topic on also playing as Black Bolt during his talk with Nerdist, Diesel said that he thinks it would be interesting and would be one of the subjects of his talk with Marvel's Kevin Feige.
However, as reported by Latino Review, the 48 year-old actor expounded on his view about the film in a recent interview and noted that Marvel would need to woo him with a good script, and a great director to go onboard. "I don't do too much if it happens. Do you know what I mean? I don't do too much 'if it happens,' it's more at what level it will happen... it's not a matter of me wooing Marvel, it's a matter of Marvel wooing me", Diesel said.
"And I love them, but I'm just saying, show me a dope script and show me a great director, all of which I know that Kevin [Feige] is capable of, because he dazzled me when he suggested Groot. That was, like, profound to me", he added.
Moreover, Diesel also further noted in his statement that he wants to take projects not solely for work, but those which he feels passionate about, but can also contribute in. Screen Rant mentioned that Diesel's gesture can be considered quite bold for an actor, but it could also work with Marvel.
Aside from Diesel, no actors and directors have been linked to Inhumans yet and given that it is not due to hit theaters until the end of Phase 3, the film still has a lot of time on its hands for development. It is currently slated for a July 12, 2019 release.
