Nintendo NX Slated for 2016 Release Hinted: Top exec confirms next-gen console in the making; Competition toe-to-toe vs. other consoles with AMD's help

Nintendo recently revealed in a press conference the existence of a work-in-progress next-generation console system, which they referred to as the Nintendo NX. Although not much details were revealed, chipset and processor manufacturer AMD said earlier that the company was working on a design for a "next-generation console scheduled to be released in 2016."
