Venture capital firm Accel Partners has invested $40 million in the Series A funding round of money transfer platform WorldRemit based in London, TechCrunch reported.

Singapore-based online car rental website received $790,000 in its Series A funding round from Insas Berhad, an investment holding firm based in Malaysia, TechCrunch reported.

Optio Labs secured $10 million from parent company Allied Minds and other private investors for its Series A funding round. The company provides software solutions for mobile security, a statement about the funding said.

Reinventure, Global Founders Capital and other investors joined the Series A round for Australia's only active peer-to-peer lending firm SocietyOne which raised $8.5 million, a statement about the funding said.

Trusper, an application that allows users to share and find lifestyle tips, received $6.17 million for its Series A funding round led by DCM and joined in by other investors, a statement about the funding said.

AppsFlyer, a mobile analytics startup based in Herzliya, Israel, obtained $7.1 million in its most recent financing round from Pitango Venture Capital and Magma Venture Partners, Globes reported.

A group of Ohio angel investors led the Series A funding round for Cleveland-based StreamLink Software which raised $3.5 million, a statement about the funding said.

Conference calling service Speek secured $5.1 million from its Series A round which included the earlier round which raised $2.7 million in convertible notes raised before, TechCrunch reported.

Polaris Partners led the Series A financing round for Santa Monica, California-based enterprise software startup Bitium which raised $6.5 million, a statement about the funding said.

Mashable completed its Series A funding round with $14 million. The round was closed with an investment from Tribune Digital Ventures, a statement about the financing revealed.
