Taco Bell is joining the growing trend of budget-friendly meal options this summer by introducing one of its biggest deals to date.

What You Will Get

For $7, you can get the "Luxe Cravings Box," with the Chalupa Supreme taco, a beefy 5-layer burrito, a double-stacked taco, chips with nacho cheese sauce, and a medium drink. That is a 55% savings since you are not paying for each item individually.

The value meal will be available until September as part of the promo.

Meal Value Craze

Like other chain restaurants, Taco Bell is feeling the pinch from the economy. In the last week or so, McDonald's, Burger King, and Starbucks have all introduced affordable offerings to entice customers who are short on cash and get them spending again before their earnings reports come out.

Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell's chief marketing officer, bragged about their meal package, which provides full-sized favorites from their menu compared to deals offered by competitors with lesser portions. He said the business believes that fast food ought to be a daily pleasure everyone can afford.

Montgomery told CNN that the Luxe Craving Box is the most generous offer the business has ever offered, providing customers more than they have ever received.

In the most recent financial report from parent firm Yum Brands, Taco Bell's same-store sales in the United States increased by a modest 2%, down significantly from the 11% growth the chain had in the same period last year. Like its competitors, Yum has made it clear that falling fast food sales are part of the company's troubles.
