Katniss is ready to fight for Panem in the upcomng Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. New photos were released for the film including an intriguing scene between Katniss and Gale. Meanwhile, actress Julianne Moore divulged new details about her character, President Coin.
As reported by Teen Vogue, stills from the film continue to pour out from the franchise's official Facebook page as the film moves its way to its release date. One photo was especially intriguing as it features Katniss and Gale sharing a very personal moment with their lips just a few inches away from getting locked. Several other pictures also feature other characters as they prepare for a big battle between Katniss along with her alies, and President Snow and his pool of soldiers and booby traps.
Moreover, Julianne Moore also recently shared new details about her character in the franchise, who will also be playing a pivotal role in the sequence of events that will follow in the film. As Moore revealed to US Magazine, that she tried to add more depth to the character of President Coin.
"Because you see Coin from the view of Katniss, she's not fully fleshed out," Moore said. "But I wanted to give her a kind of an arc. I don't want to give it away, but there's a sense of evolution with Coin that leads potentially to a sense of disillusionment. I wanted her to evolve from someone who was revolutionary to someone who has inserted herself in a power structure", she further revealed.
The film is a couple of weeks away from release, and as reported by Variety, it was recently confirmed that the film will also be released in China on November 20, 2015. A premiere of the film is also expected to be held in Beijing on November 12. China is considered to be one of the most notable countries where its earnings greatly contributed to the overall success of the films in worldwide box office.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is directed by Francis Lawrence, and written by Peter Craig and Danny Strong. Some of the cast also include Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin, and Willow Shields among many others. It is based on a book series by Suzanne Collins.
