The Huawei Mate 8 reportedly houses a powerful processor that is even better than Samsung Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. For a premium smartphone, it will have a cheaper price compared to its rivals and may come either late November or early December.
Tech Times reported that the specifications and features of Huawei's next flagship have been revealed in numerous online leaks. It is said that the Huawei Mate 8 will be one of the most powerful phones with its impressive specs sheet.
The elite phone is rumored to be powered by Huawei's Kirin 950 processor in collaboration with HiSilicon. The chipset is made using 16nm FinFET production and is expected to pack in much power with four Cortex-A72 cores and Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. According to a report by GSMArena, the Huawei Mate 8's chipset will easily beat the performance of the latest Samsung Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs.
In terms of design, the Huawei Mate 8 is a phablet that sports a 6" display with 1440 pixel resolution. This is bigger than Huawei's recent Nexus 6P which has a 5.7" screen. The Mate 8 is rumored to integrate Force Touch technology similar to Apple's iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Camera-wise, the Huawei Mate 8 is expected to have a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper. The premium smartphone by Huawei will reportedly have an Android Lollipop OS with Emotion UI on board.
Rumors on the availability and retail price of Huawei Mate 8 have also surfaced. As per PhoneArena, the Mate 8 is expected to be available in China at 3,299 yuan ($520) for the 3GB RAM variant and 3,899 yuan ($610) for the 4GB RAM version. Compared with the price of Apple's new iPhones and Samsung's latest Galaxy flagships, the Huawei Mate 8 can already be considered a bargain.
The Huawei Mate 8 is said to be slated for release within late November this year to early December next year. It will reportedly launch in China but could hit international retailers soon after.
