Huawei will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates on its handsets. The Huawei Honor, Mate S, P and G are only a few of the lucky devices to obtain the latest operating system made by Google.
According to Neurogadget, the Chinese tech giant has released a few devices that are ready to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Apparently, Huawei P8, P8 Max, P8 Youth Edition, Mate S, Maimang 4 (also known as G8), G7 Plus, Honor Play 4C, Honor 4X, X2, 6 Plus, Honor 7, Honor 7i and Mate 7 are the lucky handsets to obtain the latest OS.
Moreover, users of the aforementioned devices should remember that only the devices from the Chinese region are entitled for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. In other words, the international variant of the devices that were mentioned above will be able to receive the update a bit later.
Latinos Post cited on its article the enhancements and improvement that Android 6.0 Marshmallow would bring to the above mentioned devices. Android M reportedly features Doze Mode, which prolongs the battery life of smartphones and tablets with a new power saving idling feature. The newest operating system by Google will offer the users a lot more control over privacy as Android M will give them the chance to deny or allow individual app permissions as they come into play. It will also bring Google's rival mobile payment system to Apple Pay, called Android Pay. Lastly, it will develop the native OS support for fingerprint scanners on devices.
In addition, IBTimes reported that the official EMUI page confirmed that Huawei will bring the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in November. But the list pertains to China and there could be changes on the roll out as far as the international models are concerned.
Prior to the aforementioned Huawei devices, Google has already rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Nexus devices including the Chinese company's very own Huawei Google Nexus 6P. Hopefully, some of the units that were not included on the newly announced list will also get the OS update soon.
