'Divergent: Allegiant' stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley bid goodbye to their spectacular on-screen romance as the cinematic trilogy comes to an end. James' engagement rumors to long-time girlfriend and actress Ruth Kearney have re-emerged.
With the adaptation set for release next year, on-screen lovers James and Woodley have been taking time apart to focus on their individual careers. According to Movie News Guide, James is currently filming 'Underworld: Next Generation' with Kate Beckinsale and is also attached to star alongside Amber Heard and Cara Delevingne in 'London Fields'. Meanwhile, Woodley has been cast in Oliver Stone's political thriller 'Snowden' alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zachary Quinto.
James and Woodley's chemistry on the big-screen have been quite spectacular that rumors of a real-life romance continue to make rounds among fans despite the two being involved with other people. An article from Inquisitr revealed body language expert Judi James' analysis of James and Woodley's performance on-screen. She said, "Following in good old Hollywood, film-plugging tradition, Theo and Shailene do give good red carpet body language, flirting with the punters and one another, although their signals here suggest they could be genuinely close off-set. Neither of their wide-open-mouth facial expressions are genuine in this pose but they are mirrored performances, signaling like-minded rapport and possibly a matching sense of humour."
The co-actors have publicly denied getting together when the cameras aren't rolling but confirmed that they are indeed good friends in real life. James is currently in a relationship with Irish actress Ruth Kearney, who he's been dating since 2009, while Woodley is reportedly seeing musician Nahko Bear.
Rumors of James' engagement to Kearney first emerged last July. When those were disclaimed, it would seem that fans will finally put the issue to rest. However, according to a recent post on J-14, these speculations have re-emerged suggesting that James is set to marry Kearney after 'Divergent' comes to an end.
'Divergent: Allegiant' is the first part in the back-to-back installment scheduled to be released on March 18, 2016. It will feature the return of several actors including Woodley as Tris, James Four, Naomi Watts as Evelyn Johnson-Eaton, Octavia Spencer as Johanna Reyes, Miles Teller as Peter, Ansel Egort as Caleb Prior and Maggie Q as Tori Wu. Jeff Daniels will join the cast as the antagonist David.
