Two of the greatest heroes from the DC Extended Universe are set to battle it out in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. New details have been revealed about Doomsday's rumored appearance in the film, while Michael Shannon hinted on General Zod's role in the film.
As reported by Cinemablend, aside from Batman and Superman fighting against each other in the upcoming film, and Lex Luthor who is set to play as the main antagonist in the film, rumors about Doomsday's appearance in the film was also high speculated about.
Moreover, a new Instagram post by Sean Ray, one of the artists from Moving Picture Company who worked on the special effects aspect of the film revealed what could be new details on the character. When asked about whether Doomsday will appear in the film, Ray replied that the villanous character was not in the movie, but further noted that he could possibly appear in Man of Steel 2 or in the Justice League Films.
However, after releasing the post along with the supposed details about the character, Ray deleted his Instagram account, which many interpreted as an indication that he may have revealed details he was not supposed to release.
Meanwhile as reported by Games Radar, although his character met its demise in the previous Man of Steel, Michael Shannon revealed that General Zod will appear in the upcoming film, but will play a part like that of a "ghost". "Yeah, I say some stuff', Shannon said as he confirmed that he will be a corpse in the film. "But not a whole lot! I mean, I am dead. I'm just like a ghost. It's kind of like Russell Crowe in the first one. Jor-El. For some reason, these Kryptonian spirits, they linger. Even once you crack my neck, you can't shut me up', Shannon added.
As reported by Screen Rant, a new report has surfaced suggesting that the film could be the most expensive film made, with a whooping budget of $410 million. If the reports are eventually deemed true, the film will have took over the record of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and David Goyer. It will star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, and Jesse Eisenberg among many others. It is slated to hit theaters in March 25, 2016.
