HTC One M8s is officially getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow by the first quarter of the year 2016 skipping the first maintenance release of Android Lollipop. Alongside Marshmallow, One M8s will receive HTC's very own Sense 7.0 user interface (UI).
HTC has finally released a list of its smartphones and tablets qualified for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with their expected time of arrival. One M8s is among the devices to get the most exciting upgrade in Android history most likely by January 2016.
HTC One M8s came out in public first with preinstalled Android 5.0.1 Lollipop software version while confirmed skipping 5.0.2, 5.1 and 5.1.1 versions.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in new features and improvements that are said to be a game-changer for Google's Android in response to a very advanced Windows and iOS phones. Although there are similar and derived apps and features coming from the other mobile operating systems, Google has put confidence in Android to become a breakthrough in the mobile tech department's stiff competition.
Marshmallow will feature smarter Google Now, power saver Doze, better cut, copy, paste option, app backup and restore, improved Apps Permissions, and several others.
Google Now gives information about nearby restaurant, reviews, map locations, upcoming events and more. Meanwhile, Doze terminates background processes and idle apps.
When resetting the device, data will not be wiped out through backup. Apps Permissions give options to allow or deny any action to launch an app, etc.
Aside from the Android upgrade, Sense 7.0 UI has been very much awaited by fans since it promises truly promising operation and features in overall user experience.
HTC One M8s sports a 5-inch display made of Super LCD3. It has a full HD resolution for an impressive display. The device's dual rear camera with round lens rocks a 13 MP resolution while front shooter has 2 MP. One M8s has metal body frames with two speakers on the front panel.
One M8s is an average smartphone wearing a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 2840 mAh battery.
