Spectre News, Spoilers: $75 million to $80 million opening predicted; New James Bond movie earns large positive reviews from critics

By

James Bond is up for another round of heart-stopping action in Spectre. A new clip from the film suggests that a new non-supporter of the MI6 is aiming to shut down the 00 program, while new critic reviews about the film could be positive omen for the film's theatrical release.

As reported by Cinemablend, the 00 program could be in serious danger of getting shut down as a new clip features Denbigh as he approached M stating that a decision has been made to cut off the program. M tries to warn Denbigh that he doesn't know what he's doing only for Denbigh to reply that it is about the future. The heated conversation between the two continued until M decided to leave saying "this isn't over yet".

Although Denbigh will not be the biggest threat to Bond, the decision of shutting down the program certainly suggest that it could be one of the hurdles that come along Bond's way in the film, and one to watch out for as it nears its release.

Moreover, the film is currently sitting in a promising position as it has earned positive reviews from critics. Mirror's David Edwards described the film as one of the most thrilling among James Bond films saying, "At Spectre's heart there is a tragic love story but it's also one of the most thrilling films of any of the James Bond classics".

Moreover, as reported by Deadline, industry sources have projected $75 million to $80 million for the film's opening. The amount is considerably less than Skyfall's $90.6 million opening which was also eventually hailed as the highest grossing film in the franchise as it earned $1.1 billion worldwide.

Potential for the 'Spectre' is high as its total awareness among males over 25 is at 74% which is 5% lower than Skyfall's 79%. Furthermore, the film's definite interest is considered high at 64% compared to Skyfall's 57%.

Spectre is directed by Sam Mendez, and written by John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Jez Butterworth. It stars Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, Monica Belluci, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Whishaw among many others. It is expected to hit US theaters on November 6.
