Samsung Galaxy S7 rumored to rival Apple’s 3D Touch with ClearForce; Will it launch at CES 2016 in January?

Rumors indicate that Samsung Galaxy S7 will integrate ClearForce, Samsung's answer to Apple's 3D Touch. Samsung could release its next flagship at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in January.

Samsung is reportedly working with Synaptics in creating its own Force Touch technology for the Samsung Galaxy S7 according to a report by Yibada. Patents and trademarks filed by the South Korean company indicate that the Galaxy S7 will have ClearForce that will match up to 3D Touch in Apple's new iPhones.

The report further stated other rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S7 in terms of design and specifications. The next Samsung flagship is said to sport the same build and design of the Galaxy S6. It will reportedly have a unibody build, a stronger magnesium alloy chassis, and a glass back panel.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 will join the Galaxy S6 in the premium smartphone category. It is said that Samsung will make two variants of the Galaxy S7 to cater to the premium and sub-premium market.

Additionally, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 will offer top-notch sound quality with a 32-bit stereo D/A converter. It will also have USB Type-C connection that will support quick data transfer and charging.

Another rumored feature that the Galaxy S7 will have is a dual-camera set-up. The flagship will reportedly don a 20MP ISOCELL rear camera and a 5MP to 8MP front shooter.

Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be unveiled at the CES 2016 to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada in January as per Droid Life. The CES 2016 is an annual business and technology trade show where recent tech innovations are showcased. Other reports say that the Galaxy S7 will launch on January 19 or on early February. Samsung has not yet confirmed a specific announcement with the Galaxy S7.

Venture Capital Post reported that the 2016 Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be powered by two Exynos processors with power-saving features. There are also buzzes that say Samsung will use both Snapdragon and Exynos chips for the Galaxy S7.

It is not sure whether Samsung will release two variants of the Galaxy S7 - one containing Snapdragon 820 for international markets and one powered by Exynos processor for the local Korean market.
